Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli
Dinner and overnight stay at Satao Elerai.(FB Basis)
Day 2: Amboseli
Wake early and after breakfast, embark on a morning game drive into Amboseli National Park to visit the ‘Elephant swamps’ that you saw from the air. Watch large herds basking in the cool springs waters of the marshlands, teeming with bird and wildlife. Back to camp for lunch, and afternoon siesta. In the afternoon head out on cultural excursion to gain an insight into the local Masaai way of life. Visit a Masaai village, meet the chief and help with walking a herd of cattle back to village before sunset. This is a unique experience!

Day 3: Amboseli to Shompole
After breakfast bid farewell to your hosts at Elerai and transfer to the airstrip for the flight to Shompole. The flight will take 45mins. Flying from Amboseli to Lake Natron, there is some of the most spectacular scenic flying. Within the southern-most tip of the Great Rift Valley in Kenya, lie the alkaline lakes of Magadi and Natron where you will enjoy a low level scenic flight over the plethora of Flamingoes. Onto Lake Magadi over spectacular colours of the salt pans and onto Rangers airstrip. On arrival you will be met by your host and transferred with a game drive to Shompole Wilderness tented eco-camp. Lunch at the camp and afternoon canoeing down the Ewaso Ng’iro river through a cathedral of ancient fig trees that line the river bank. Ending the day with sundowners by the river.

Day 4: Shompole
Early morning breakfast and departure to the nearby Lale’enok primate research camp with a game drive en-route. This is the base for the Walking with Baboons programme. It is a short drive up-river, departing first thing in the morning before the baboons leave their sleeping site. Accompanied by Sisco or Joel, the local Maasai baboon experts, you will walk with the baboons and learn the how they live and interact with each other. Bush Picnic lunch followed by a cultural visit to the nearby Masaai village. With little outside influences the Maasai here are remain relatively traditional and unchanged in their ways. On the way back to camp, the drive will take you to the shores of Lake Magadi where you can visit the hot springs.

Day 5: Shompole to the Masai Mara
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip and board your executive Caravan and fly to the world famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. On arrival to the Masai Mara, your pilot will do a low level scenic flight over the reserve and your camp. Your personal safari guide awaits at the airstrip to take you on a game drive towards the Karen Blixen Tented Camp. Set on the banks of the Mara River the camp consists of 22 luxurious tents. The location is spectacular, with the great Mara plains behind the camp and the impressive escarpment and the river in front. Enjoy a delicious lunch, relax in the heat of the afternoon and then out onto the spotted plains for a game drive The vistas of the Masai Mara are quite unique, as is the wildlife experience - If lucky, you may see the big five in one afternoon!

Morning bush walk with a local Masai guide. Walking in middle of the African bush with armed Masai guides is truly an amazing safari experience. Oloisuk is a private concession area offering plenty of wildlife experience and breath taking view of the Mara plains. Lunch at camp and late afternoon game drive within the Oloisuk conservation area. Ending your day with bush sundowners and ‘bitings’ (canapes) by the river.
